About this product
Bullets or domes?
This kit and the 8CH 4K NVR, 4×5MP PoE Domes, 2TB share the same layout: an eight-channel recorder, four 5MP cameras and a 2TB drive. The camera body is where they part ways. Here you get four 5MP PoE bullet cameras rated by ZOSI for 120ft of IR night vision, against 80ft for the dome kit, which makes this the stronger choice for a long driveway, a deep backyard or the far end of a detached garage. Amazon's product name for this option also lists the color as white.
Room to add cameras
ZOSI's description says the system expands to eight cameras total, so four channels stay open for extra garage, entryway or yard coverage later. The Amazon product name mentions 16CH expandable as well. If a ninth or tenth camera is a real possibility, look for what ZOSI says that larger setup requires before you plan around it.
Everyday features
The recorder is an H.265+ 8-channel NVR rated for 8MP, with the 2TB surveillance drive already inside. Each camera runs on one Ethernet cable for both power and video, and ZOSI bills the install as plug and play with no professional wiring needed. AI detection flags people and vehicles, you can set detection zones for each camera, and you can narrow playback to person, vehicle or motion events. Privacy masks block out areas you don't want recorded. ZOSI includes remote access on smartphones (ZOSI Smart app) and tablets or computers (AVSS Client) with no additional fees.
Picking the right version
The same Amazon page also sells a 4×8MP version of this kit. Select the 5MP option for the cameras described here, or the 8MP option if you want higher-resolution cameras at the same camera count. For full coverage from the start, the 8CH 4K PoE, 8×5MP Bullets, 2TB fills all eight channels with the same style of bullet camera.
